The players asked, and Nexon delivered. On April 30, we will get a set of Uniform Skins for the ladies of The First Descendant, but the community is split on them, with some being very excited and others criticizing Nexon for doing “skins-over-content” once more. Additionally, the devs teased a new Dynamic Motion preview.

When TFD was released, we had the popular Albion Academy range of Skins, where all the girls were dressed as cadets. Naturally, the fans loved it and were pretty bummed when Nexon decided to pull those skins from the shop. Ever since then, the players have requested something similar. Maybe something like a schoolgirl uniform? Those are pretty popular! Well, it didn’t take much for Nexon to cave in, and a while back, they revealed that school uniform skins are on the way. And now, they are closer than ever.

School Uniform Skins for Female Descendants Coming on April 30

It was teased a while back, and now it is officially revealed! The highly requested Uniform skins are coming to The First Descendant, scheduled for April 30. Nexon revealed each TFD girl in a different uniform, so it is safe to assume that every girl will have her own outfit, just like we had for swimsuits. And they will most likely be priced similarly, somewhere around 750 Caliber.

So, what’s the issue here?

The First Descendant Community Split in the Upcoming Uniform Skins

For a long while now, huge parts of the community were a bit tired of Nexon releasing skimpy and revealing skins while neglecting in-game content. This has gone so far that they accuse the devs of intentionally pandering to the players with attractive outfits, to turn the attention away from the game itself and its many issues.

Disgruntled players have voiced their thoughts on Nexon’s official announcement, some questioning Nexon’s choice of theme (schoolgirl outfits are considered a fetish nowadays), while others are a bit more savage. “Go get your [microtransactions] creeps. I feel like the game is a goon simulator and looter shooter second,” said SyphinB.

On the other hand, a lot of folks are pretty excited for these skins. Some even offered a sweet idea to mix and match parts of the outfits. “Can we get an update so we can mix and match different outfits it’s lovely seeing all the effort that goes into the designs,” asked one player on X. However, some are attacking the “haters”. “Another woke r***rd trying to ruin the game right here,” stated another user.

And while we’re on these touchy topics, the devs have teased something else for April 30.

Another Dynamic Motion Preview Possibly On the Way

A pretty long AMA event is still ongoing on The First Descendant Discord channel, where the devs are answering questions daily. We have already covered some of the questions a couple of times, but a recent answer from Minseok Joo revealed something interesting.

“On Wednesday, if possible, I’ll try to prepare and show you a preview of the dynamic motion that is currently under development. ^^”

We already had one preview where the devs showed the early stages of the Dynamic Motion feature. It showed only the upper body “motions” but the devs said it will work on both the upper and lower body, so we may get a sneak peek of all that. We will find out pretty soon.
