As we all know, farming is the bread and butter of TFD. Players everywhere try looking for ways to speed through content as fast as possible, so they can grind most efficiently. We already covered a very handy Grappling Hook tip to help you cover more ground faster, and today we have another tip, albeit of a different nature. So, it turns out that you can queue for a different Colossus without returning to Albion and wasting time looking at those The First Descendant loading screens all the time.
How To Queue For a Different Colossus Battle Without Returning to Albion in The First Descendant?
When farming bosses, the majority of players, when they defeat a Colossus and finish opening the Amorphous Material, go back to Albion and then queue up for a different fight. Hardly a difficult process, but it takes some time to go through all the menus and loading screens. All of that can add up, resulting in a solid waste of time for the player, especially if they’re playing on a slightly weaker platform that loads slower than others. But what if we told you you could queue up a different Colossus as soon as you’re done with the first one?
To do so, follow these steps. Note that this ONLY works for Public battles; Private Void Intercepts do not have this option.
- Hold the Restart button (G on the keyboard, D-Pad Up on controllers), this will queue you up for another go.
- Press the newly prompted Move to matchmaking screen button (Y on the keyboard, D-Pad Right on controllers.
- This will take you to your selected Colossus screen. There, press the Back button and that will take you to the screen where you select the Colossus you want to fight.
- Click on the one that you want and that will start the matchmaking process for that Void Intercept Battle.
You can now freely walk around, dismantle newly acquired Junk, or do anything else without having to go back to Albion, while the game is matching you with others. It does not sound like much, but those seconds can add up. We hope this handy tip will speed up your Colossi farming.
