By now, it is no secret that PlayStation players suffer from a bug that causes characters to go silent. While some enjoyed it, the majority were pretty irritated by it, and rightfully so. But, until Nexon does something about it, one The First Descendant player shares how they fixed the infamous PlayStation audio bug.

Even though Nexon is doing what they can to keep TFD bug-free (as much as possible), some do manage to sneak their way in and ruin the game. The major ones are usually fixed as quickly as possible, but the minor ones can persist for a while, so it is up to the community to bring them to the spotlight, so Nexon would do something about it. Such was the situation with the number of Records bug, where the players managed to get an official answer after raising the question several times.

Audio Bug Has Been Plaguing PS Players

Recently, it came to the community’s attention that quite a lot of PlayStation players have an issue where the character banter and dialogue would simply disappear after a while. Some recommended restarting the game, but that can get irritating pretty fast and wasn’t as effective. The players voiced their concerns, but unfortunately, Nexon tends to leave the console-only issues “for later”. It is not even featured in the most recent “Known Issues” list, and naturally, PS players are pretty angry about it.

“It’s been happening nonstop ever since new Skins update. Restarting the game doesn’t fix this. It continues to persist regardless how many times you restart game and console. “ said Say10z3fz, and “The bug that more than half of the recent posts refer to, don’t you mention in the known issues!? The bug that causes all the voices in the game to be without sound, is not mentioned!” added marcelo_buck.

One The First Descendant Player Shares How They Temporarily Fixed the PlayStation Audio Bug

Until they do something about it, one player has found a temporary solution that works for them. Named Defiant-Anything-954 on Reddit, this player said that changing the graphics setting actually fixes the audio bug.

“Was messing around the graphics settings and, for whatever reason, fixed the bug that causes the character audio/dialogue to disappear. Hopes this helps others, mine works now and hasn’t bugged out.”

“NOTE: Changing Graphics Settings Back To Your Preferred Option Does Not Cause Audio Bug To Reappear”

“Change the settings from what your option is. (Example; if you play on Performance, then change it to Fidelity and then “Accept Changes”.) “

As mentioned, this works for the OP, and hopefully it will work for others as well. It is truly a surprise that Nexon hasn’t even acknowledged this issue and we hope they will do something about it.
