Fellows are a recent (and the greatest, really) addition to TFD. You get an adorable doggy that will follows you around. If that is not enough, it even offers a couple of in-game benefits. They pick up items for you so you don’t have to bother with it, and even increase the drop rates of certain items (in Void Vessel reward chests only, as far as we can tell). Also, they can be leveled up using special new materials, aka, food. But, what some of The First Descendant players realized is that maxing out your Fellows will give you a lot of Mastery XP.
Max Level Fellow = 50.000 Mastery XP
Your Fellows can be fed to increase their level. Each level will increase the radius on which they can pick up items, as well as improve their drop rate increase buff. Furthermore, if you happen to max out your Fellow (Level 30 is the max), you will get a chunk of Mastery XP. 50,000 to be precise.
To level up your doggo, you have to feed it using the new items that you can find and research. They have different rarities and grant different amounts of Fellow XP.
- Fortified Supplement – 1000 Fellow XP,
- Special Synthetic Calcium – 2500 Fellow XP,
- Ultimate Protein Compound – 10.000 Fellow XP.
The materials required for these can be found in Void Vessels. So, we already covered why Fellows should be your first priority, and this only serves to strengthen that fact. Not only they are cute as all heck, but they also give you considerable bonuses. You can even see a short video posted by a Redditor named ChikyuTenshi where they show you the whole process. Acquiring Mastery XP can be a chore, especially at higher levels, so this boost is a godsend.
