To keep you alive in TFD, you have Shields, DEF, Resistances, and HP. However, losing all of your health is not the end. You will simply go down for a short while, or DBNO as it is the correct game term (meaning Down But Not Out), while still being able to move. This is to give your teammates some time to come and revive you. Since downed players are usually in not-so-favorable locations, TFD players gathered and compiled a short list of tips on what to do in case they get downed.

Some Handy Tips For Downed Players

When you get downed in TFD, you will drop on your knees and have the option to crawl slowly. Other players have about 10-15 seconds to get to you and revive you, or you will be eliminated and you’ll have to use up one of your team’s revives (Void Intercepts and similar boss battles have a limited number of revives). So, it is always better to wait for someone to raise you up. So, here are a couple of tips on how to make it easier for your teammates to do just that.

  1. “Move out of the dangerous environment. Whatever it is, lava, toxic, etc…crawl torward the nearest safe space you can see. Sometimes it’s unavoidable but if they have to take dmg from the ground while reving you they will often end up beside you.”
  2. “Find cover. It’s not for you, it’s for whoever is coming in hot to save you. Try to keep it between you and the boss until the Rev starts.”
  3. “If there’s a Yujin, let him pick them up. It’s part of the kit to be nearly instant and annoying for Yujin players to parkour across the map just to find another character [already] ressing.” added UninspiredSkald.

Others point out that incoming teammates should let you crawl away to safety (if there is time) first. Getting revived just so you can fall down again helps no one.

The best revivers are Yujin (obviously) and Ajax (he can raise shields to be safe during the revive), so if you have one on your team, try to make their lives easier by following the aforementioned advice. These are all pretty sensible tips, but you would be amazed by the number of players who just don’t do anything similar. If this article helps even one person, it is a win for us all.
