“Blue Brains, Ahoy!” The First Descendant Players Reveal a Great Way to Farm Advanced Neural Circuits for Those Catalysts

Those blue brains can be a chore to get but they are essential in crafting Crystallization Catalysts. Each “cata” requires 18 Advanced Neural Circuits, and since every weapon can hold up to 10 Catalysts to be considered fully upgraded, you’ll need a lot of those blue brains. Thankfully, The First Descendant community has shared a great way to farm those Advanced Neural Circuits using Jayber in White-night Gulch.

How to Farm Tons of Advanced Neural Circuits Using Jayber in The First Descendant

The fans reveal a very effective way to get tons of blue brains without any effort. Let’s start with the mission. Go to White-night Gulch, Shipment Base area, and start the Fortress Courtyard mission.

The mission will spawn an elite enemy on a platform some distance away (and a bunch of chaff, but who cares about those). That elite will drop Advanced Neural Circuits when eliminated. The trick is to destroy the elite, get the blue brains, Abort Mission, and do so all over again. But how can this be done in the most effective way possible? That’s where Jayber comes in.

Jayber can drop his turrets on the platform, summon the elite from the mission starting point, let them do all the work, Abort Mission, rinse, and repeat. Furthermore, it is highly recommended that you have the Turret Engineering mod. This Module changes your Multi-Purpose Gun with Turret Engineering, which heals and extends the duration of your Turrets each time you activate the Skill, instead of requiring you to shoot at them.

In summary, set up your Assault Turret where the elite Vulgus will appear, get back to the Mission start “drone” and start farming. Use the Turret Engineering skill between each “run” to refresh your Turrent and you’ll be sitting on a pile of Advanced Neural Circuits in no time. Just don’t forget to pick them all up when you’re done farming.

Fans Give Some Advice

We all live to farm as effectively as possible, and the community stepped up to offer some cool tips. The crucial one, provided by 12ebral and GBuster49, is to run this mission on Normal difficulty. That’s how you get the 100% drop rate for the brains. Playing it on Hard has a chance to drop something else entirely.

Others say that getting an accomplice, ie, another player is the way to go. That way one can restart the mission while the other deals with the boss. That’s great if you don’t want to do the Jayber method, which is basically for solo play.

Unsurprisingly, the fans love this farming trick. “Been using this for months. I saw people sniping the elite with Hailey and I immediately thought of Jayber. Pretty much the only use I have for him currently.“ said asianyeti, and “Work smarter, not harder! I like it :)” added ahmmu20.

In conclusion, it is a pretty cool farming trick, and we hope it helps you get as many Advanced Neural Circuits as possible.
