We just had the long-awaited Season 2 announcement video. It was hosted by TFD devs, Beom-jun Lee and Minseok Joo, who took their time to reveal practically everything that is coming for the game in great detail. They talked about the new storyline, and new Descendants (Keelan and Ines), revealed upcoming skins, and that Sharen will get the next Ultimate makeover, and lots and lots of other updates. In the end, they revealed the roadmap for The First Descendant Season 2, and, to everyone’s surprise, the fans are pretty optimistic.
The First Descendant Season 2 Roadmap
At the end of the announcement video, TFD devs started talking about the roadmap for Season 2. Seeing how things played out with the Season 1 roadmap, they’ve decided to cram as much content into the first day of the release, so that fans have more new stuff to play with. They still plan to leave some major updates for future releases, following a set update pattern.
“We’re focusing on providing a large-scale update at the beginning of the season, but we are also working internally to ensure there are new updates every month thereafter.”
So, here’s the release schedule and the roadmap for Season 2.

The Fans Love it!
With the previous Season’s roadmap, there was an uproar that left everyone with a bad taste in their mouths. Now, as Nexon is taking a different (better) approach, the fans only have words of praise for them. Some were surprised that we’ll be getting both a new Descendant and an Ultimate Descendant in the same update, like achilleshy who asked: “New male descendant and ult Sharen both on Dec 5th?”. Others are all about the upcoming Christmas skins, like Skeptic_Squirrel who said: “Hailey’s Christmas skin is giving me Belle from Beauty & The Beast vibes. Love it”, and “Winter skins!” added Material_Ad8989.
There are rarely any comments criticizing any decision for Season 2, apart from some players wondering whether Freyna will also steamroll the new dungeons or not. So far, things are looking pretty good for The First Descendant Season 2.
