Nexon, as a company, was officially founded in December of 1994. They released their first game in 1996, adequately named Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds. Since then they have been releasing various games, but have garnered a lot of flak for some microtransactions issues. But, in July of 2024, they released The First Descendant and it has taken the gaming scene by storm. Nexon seems to have done their homework since every action and decision for the game is a W with the fans. Whatever the community wants, Nexon tries to deliver. And now, with their 30th birthday just weeks away, Nexon is giving away some free stuff in The First Descendant, so keep reading to see what it is exactly, and what the community has to say.
Nexon 30th Birthday Event Is Live, so Get Some Free Stuff in The First Descendant
On November 14, Nexon announced that their Nexon 30th Anniversary Coupon Event is live. You simply have to type in the code in-game and voila! You’ll get some free goodies. Now, the code in question is NEXON30THBIRTHDAY. PC users can simply copy-paste it.
Remember that you can enter coupon codes from the in-game menu > Options > Account > Input Coupon Code. This code will be viable until November 30.
Once you do so, you’ll receive a mail in-game, so head to your mailbox to claim the gifts. The gifts in question are four Boosters:
- Gold Boost +30% (3 days)
- Kuiper Shard Boost +30% (3 days)
- Descendant EXP Boost +30% (3 days)
- Weapon Proficiency EXP Boost +30% (3 days)
Fans Disappointed With the Birthday Event
Unfortunately, the free Boosters don’t sit well with a lot of players. Many of them are downright disappointed with this, saying that end-game players gain nothing from this. “Nah we gonna need better than that for a 30 years anniversary event,” said ggalindo23 and “The reward was almost humiliating,” said Chicacoo378003.
But, a lot of other players are happy with the gifts. “First jiggle physics confirmed, and now gifts?! W after W Nexon! Good Stuff!” said SoubasEsta, and “Man, this game has W after W. Forget those snobs who have nothing good to say, you are one of the most generous and feedback driven studios ever!” added Zero_ocxo.
Ultimately, it is a free gift to celebrate the 30 years of Nexon. They weren’t obliged to offer any gifts yet they did, which is a W in our book.
