It is a sad fact that recent updates have brought a lot of errors to the game, especially the ones that mess with the servers. Thankfully, The First Descendant devs have quickly addressed an error preventing players from logging into the game, and have finally fixed a critical stability issue that the players have been going on for a while now..

The last couple of updates and hotfixes added a lot to the game, with the most prominent change being the infamous character rebalance. It was generally well received, except for the fact that Ines got nerfed, and some players had real issues with that. Unfortunately, some errors are bound to slip by, and more and more players report connection issues and crashes, especially console players. One of the most recent errors prevented players from logging into the game altogether, but Nexon was quick to intervene. Additionally, the error where the game crashed when returning to Albion was finally addressed.

The First Descendant Game Access Error Fixed in No Time

On April 7, Nexon posted an announcement that the Game Access Error was getting looked into.

To everyone’s amazement, only seven minutes later, they posted that the error was fixed.

The players were positively surprised, especially knowing that Nexon can sometimes take their time when it comes to errors. “You guys are fast I’m glad I’m spending my money on a game where the developers actually care,” said Starlord156 on X, and “Hats off to the devs for talking about this and trying to fix it this fast. Sony wouldn’t say a word for days if they had issues,” added OkamiMyouka.

Unfortunately, some server crashes still remain, especially among Xbox players. “That’s great that the servers are back online, but you know what’s still not great? The fact that I keep getting disconnected from servers when logging in and the constant disconnects when returning to Albion,” said Shaha44. Fortunately, we have some good news about that last one.

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.13b Fixed a Critical Stability Issue

Just hours after the Game Access Error announcement, the devs also posted that a hotfix was implemented, which dealt with the frequent crashes when returning to Albion.

“Fixed an intermittent issue where entering Albion would sometimes cause the game to return to the title screen.”

As you’d expect, the players are very happy with this. “I can say thank you on many peoples behalf, this was 5 weeks for me! So thank you devs!” said BolstadJay12982, while others, after being grateful for the fix, pointed out that Nexon was pretty silent about the whole situation with the server issues and crashes, and that, coupled with the rebalance, has made a lot of players quit the game.

Hopefully, these fixes will bring them right back, and we hope that Nexon will continue to address these critical issues before April 17 brings another major update to the mix.
