It is almost here. The infamous character rebalance is getting closer as Nexon announces the next The First Descendant update, while also adding a bit of April Fools’ humor.
It is no secret that some characters are overpowered, making others very weak by comparison. It happened since day one, as almost every new character outshone the rest (with some exceptions). Over time, Nexon realized that players are not very happy with the obvious differences in power level and announced that a massive rebalance is on the way. The plan is to tone down the OP Descendants, while buffing those that are obviously weaker than the rest. They said the rebalance is coming after the S2E2 update, and we finally got the date.
Nexon Announces The First Descendant Character Rebalance for April 3
On April 1, The First Descendant devs posted the patch preview for Hotfix 1.2.13. Same as last time, they were pretty stingy with the reveal, giving us only some vague information on what to expect. Except for the date, it is scheduled for April 3, 00:00 PDT.

Content improvements and bug fixes are “business as usual”, but the “Balance Adjustments for Descendants” is the main part. Naturally, they revealed no other info, so we can only speculate.
As it stands, we expect Serena, Ines, and possibly Freyna to be nerfed, as even Nexon admitted that they outperform everyone else. As for the buffs, it was mentioned that they plan to make Yujin more viable as a solo choice, so we expect some buffs there. And hopefully, Luna will actually be playable after this patch (if any Luna players are left). So, Serena/Ines/Freyna mains have approximately two more days to have fun until their favorite characters get nerfed.
Jeremy is Back!
Oh no! The Descendant you love to hate is back, ready to terrorize Albion and have his vengeance. Fortunately, the Albion Fellow Force has been deployed to find Jeremy, the best of all Descendants.
Hah, April Fools! Since it’s April 1, Nexon had some fun and posted that Jeremy is back. At that same time, they changed their X name from The First Descendant to Albion Fellow Force (TFD Paw Patrol?). The prospect of Jeremy coming back as an enemy has been circling the community for a while, especially now with the reveal that the Vulgus have been making their own Descendants, so naturally, Nexon jumped at the opportunity to have a bit of fun.
