Nexon Announced Another Hotfix for The First Descendant, Scheduled for December 11

The First Descendant Dread Armor enemy

When Season 2 was released, we got a bunch of new stuff and a bunch of new errors. It looks like for every new feature there is a small error accompanying it, to ruin things. The last major issue is the constant crashes that a lot of players experience. Luckily, Nexon was quick to respond and they already released a bunch of Hotfixes in quick succession, addressing various errors and issues. But, they are not stopping there. Nexon just announced a new Hotfix, 1.2.1, is on the way to The First Descendant, going live on December 11.

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.1 Scheduled for December 11

Nexon revealed that another Hotfix is coming tomorrow, and have shared what changes and improvements it will bring. The main part is adding the Infiltration Support Feature, which allegedly allows you to select which Infiltration mission’s rewards you want, but you may be assigned to a whole different Infiltration, that needs players. In other words, different mission, same rewards. So, here are all the upcoming changes.

Patch Schedule

– 2024.12.11 (Wed) 11:00 PM PST (Scheduled)

Key Patch Updates

  • Infiltration Support Feature Added
    • When activating ‘Other Infiltration Support’ option, you will receive the rewards for the selected Infiltration Operation, but you can move to another Infiltration Operation with fewer Descendants.
  • Improved to allow alternating choices between Keelan and the Fellow Box upon completing the Void Vessel.
  • Balance Adjustments for Certain Ultimate Weapons with High-Power Rounds
  • Content Enhancements
  • Bug Fixes

Note that Nexon said they would share the complete patch notes (with way more details than this) upon Hotfix’s release.

What the fans are most wary of is the “Balance Adjustments for Certain Ultimate Weapons”. It only affects High-Power Rounds type of Ultimate Weapons, and those are Afterglow Sword, Executor, Piercing Light, Restored Relic, Sigvore’s Proof, and Smithereens. But, none of these weapons are insanely popular (compared to others) or overperforming, so we actually expect some buffs are on the way.
