Then updates go live, players usually want to see some buffs to their favorite characters and equipment but are not too happy when they see some nerfs. But sometimes, nerfs can be beneficial, especially if they affect the notoriously tough aspect of the game. In the latest Patch for The First Descendant, one pretty annoying aspect of the game was been hit by the nerf-bat and everyone is pretty happy about it.

Void Reactor Bosses Got Nerfed

In the patch released on August 13, an easy-to-miss entry stated: “The HP of monsters in Void Fusion Reactors has been reduced, and they will now drop more ammo and recovery orbs when you defeat them.” Void Reactor bosses are notorious for being tough to beat, some even more than Colossi. But now, with the latest patch, their HP pool has been reduced just enough to make a difference and the players are loving it.

One dedicated player, aptly named ViessaTFD on Reddit, started a thread stating that they can finally take on a certain Void Reactor boss in White-night Gulch.

Players Grateful That They Can Farm Void Reactors More Reliably Now

A lot of players agree with the OP, with comments like “You’re talking about that fire Annihilation dude, right?! Hate that guy!“ from Von2014 and “I forgot about THAT busted boss. I can farm there now whoooo” from rosecoloredxboy. It looks like the “fire dude” was pretty famous since the majority of comments revolve around players happy that they can finally take him on.

Others are glad that Void Bosses in general are more manageable now. User Intelligent_Wish_542 stated: “The HP nerfs are nice, although I’m just happy I get ammo now. That way I don’t have to die on purpose to get ammo back” and Execwalkthroughs added: “I’m glad they nerfed reactor bosses…Some of them genuinely had colossi levels of HP at 34 million HP.”

You’d expect that Colossi would be the toughest enemy in the game, but some of those Void Reactor bosses proved to be a greater chore. We are glad that Nexon is taking into account player feedback and that they keep implementing these small changes which pay dividends in the end.
