It looks like some folks had an inside man, as leaks reveal the details about The First Descendant Season 3 before the PAX East broadcast, revealing the new Descendant, new Ultimate Descendants, showing the details about Axion Plains, Lounge, and who the first collab will be with.
PAX East 2025 is in full swing, or rather, nearing the end. But TFD fans are all excited for one thing – the devlive that will go live pretty soon, where Nexon plans to reveal details about Season 3 of the game. However, it looks like some folks were there already and have peeked at all the new stuff coming our way. So, let’s see those supposed leaks for The First Descendant PAX devlive.
Leaks Supposedly Reveal The First Descendant Season 3 Details Before the PAX East Broadcast
As it turns out, it looks like the folks from the “But Why Tho?” website had an inside man, as they allegedly shared what Nexon is preparing to reveal during the devlive. We say “allegedly” as their article has been taken down, and the current link redirects you to an older article. But still, some quick fans took photos and have already reshared everything. So, while the images look way too good to be fake, we should still take this with a grain of salt. At least until the devs officially confirm all of this.
Axion Plains
As already mentioned, Axion Plains will be the new, “open-world” location. The new details reveal that it will be overrun by artificial creatures, mutants, and Collosi, with a special “world-boss” type, called Wall Crusher, who will be the end boss of an eight-player “raid”. The Plains will be massive in size, and using the new Hover Bike would be almost mandatory.
Hover Bike
The Hover Bike will allegedly be free for everyone, easily obtainable by logging into the game in Season 3. Additionally, there will be special “Accelerated” and “Boosted” versions that you can find in Axion. Furthermore, Hover Bikes will be upgradable.
Lounge
The Lounge will serve as a personalized space where you, as a player, can interact with your Descendants with the aim of providing some more depth to the character and the world itself. Additionally, you will be able to personalize your Lounge as you see fit, place the furniture and collectables, and have the Descendants wear the skins you want.
Story
They did not reveal much, apart from the fact that Karel will be making a return, and that the Season 3 story will “mark a turning point” in the overall narrative of The First Descendant. Lastly, Season 3 will also focus on the supposed romance between Enzo and Nell. Speaking of Nell…
New Descendant – Nell
After requesting Nell as a Descendant since day one, Nexon finally caved in. Nell will leave the desk and join the roster of playable Descendants. “Nell utilizes Arche-like telekinesis, throwing spheres which form debuffs and also pull nearby enemies.” She will have the ability to turn all of her shots into Weak Point strikes, making her more of a gun-based Descendant.
Ultimate Descendants – Luna and Yujin
The next Ultimate Descendants will be Ultimate Luna, in Season 3 Episode 1, and Ultimate Yujin, in Season 3 Episode 2. As for Ultimate Luna, she will have two special new Modules: one that will shift her play style to focus more on Firearms, and the other that will enhance her rhythm-based Skills.
Swords!!!
We are finally getting melee weapons, in the form of swords. They will take up a Firearm slot, just like all other weapons, and you can enhance them with Modules as well. We will get three different types of swords, each with a regular and a special strike. According to the leakers, we will get a “Shadow blade” for starters. A two-handed sword and something like a Lightsaber will be added in Season 3 Episode 2.
Collaboration
If these leaks prove true, the first collab TFD will have will be with the incredibly popular Nier: Automata. More details will be revealed during the livestream, but this is allegedly one of many collaborations that are in the works.
