In TFD you can spend Caliber, the game’s premium currency, to purchase Bundles, Skins, and other cosmetics. With each major update, Nexon has added more and more items to the shop, usually bundles for new Descendants or new Event and Premium Skins. And now, with the next major update just two weeks from now, it is time for some of the old bundles to leave the shop, to make way for new ones.
Ultimate Bundles, Summer Bundles, and More Are Soon Leaving the Shop
It is time to say goodbye. Ultimate and Premium Ultimate Bundles, Summer/Swimsuit Skins (for Viessa, Valby, and the guys), Luna Bundle and Pink Salamander Back Attachment are all leaving the shop on September 25, 2024, 23:59 PDT / September 26, 2024, 06:59 GMT.
This came as a bit of a surprise, as not many players see why Nexon should remove these bundles. Players would always need Ultimate Bundles, and Swimsuits are the most popular Skins in the game. The players suspect this may be a FOMO tactic by the devs to entice players to buy these skins by making them exclusive. On the other hand, we always had “available until…” on these items, so we knew they were limited.
Nexon Teased New Skins
To replace the ones that are leaving, the devs posted an image showing silhouettes of some of the upcoming skins. While we cannot know for sure, they look like a Stunning Beauty Skin, a skin for Ajax (but he already got the Evolving Skin, so…), for Bunny (the ears are a dead giveaway), and Glowing Frog, a Premium Skin for Valby, previewed in the Season 1 trailer.
In the near future, we will most probably see an Ultimate Freyna Bundle (when she appears, on October 10). What everyone is asking is if and when will we get new Swimsuit Skins. This can go both ways. Summer Skins are arguably the most popular ones and we only had those for Viessa, Valby, and a general one for the guys. It stands to reason that Nexon will keep making these and release them as soon as possible.
On the other hand, they were, well, Summer Skins. That season is over and Nexon may withhold from releasing new ones until Summer 2025. It may very well be that we will get Autumn/Winter skins from now on, and that will only build anticipation for the next Summer. Both of these options are possible. So, this is your last chance to get these bundles, until they leave the shop. Permanently? No one knows.
