The First Descendant Ines Raya Details Revealed

After a long wait, Ines Raya is finally here, arguably the main event of the whole Season 2. We had some teasers and speculations from before, but now, during the latest The First Descendant livestream, the devs revealed the Skills, Modules, Skins, and details on how to get Ines Raya.

Ines Raya – Thunder Snare

Just like Keelan, Ines is a part of the H.O.U.N.D. unit, specializing in Void Vessel missions. As the devs stated, Ines’ strength lies in dealing high AoE damage to a large number of enemies, using her Conductor state effect. If you missed it, she even has an awesome trailer video.

Skills

Plasma Vibration (Passive) – Skill Critical Hit rate scales of her maximum MP. Scoring Skill Critical Hits on enemies affected by the Conductor state create Dark Currents which cause cascading damage to nearby mobs.

Chain Lightning (Singular Electric) – Throws lightning bolts at enemies, dealing damage and applying the Conductor state, and dealing additional damage to those already in the Conductor state.

Conductor (Tech Electric) – Deals damage to nearby enemies using electric coils, dealing additional damage to those already in the Conductor state.

Discharge (Singular Electric) –  Deals Electricity damage in front of you. It is a charging skill, meaning the more you charge it, the higher the damage. Once again, deals additional damage to those already in the Conductor state.

Snare Hunter (Tech Electric) – Throws a plasma acceleration coil crating a Snare, which deals continuous Electric damage in a huge area. Additionally, after using this Skill, Ines becomes Overcurrented, increasing her Dark Currents’ damage and her movement speed.

Skill Modules

  • Plasma Ball – Changes her Passive, Plasma Vibration, into a more defensive version, “shielding [from] enemy attacks and improving battle stability”.
  • Time of the Hunting Hounds – Changes Chain Lightning into Floating Lightning, hitting fewer enemies but having a shorter Cooldown. Changes Discharge into Dash Forward, which deals damage along the path, and additional AoE damage at the end point of the dash. As with the regular Discharge, the longer you charge Dash Forward, the damage, travel length, and explosion radius are increased accordingly.

How to Get Ines

Ines Raya materials can be farmed on Void Vessel missions on Hard difficulty. Keelan research materials will be moved to Normal Void Vessel missions.

We’re not sure how popular this will be, as the majority of players have already done the Void Vessel missions hundreds of times, so we expect that a lot of players will simply purchase her. Maybe that was Nexon’s plan all along…

Ines Skins

The devs offered no further info than the image, but it is more than enough.

All in all, Ines looks pretty cool, all the skills and other details sound fun (except, maybe, the farming), and will certainly be a great addition to The First Descendant. We just hope that she does not turn out to be a ranged version of Bunny.
