Getting some of the rarer items in The First Descendant will require opening Amorphous Materials, and to get the most from them, you will want to use Shape Stabilizers. Rare materials are hard to come by in the game, and they usually have drop chances below 10%. Luckily, this can be increased, but players will need to do some preparation first. Stick with us and learn how to get and use Shape Stabilizers in the game.

How to Get Shape Stabilizers in The First Descendant

Zone Recon Missions and Special Operation Missions both have a chance to drop Shape Stabilizers. However, the Special Operation Mission has a drastically better chance and is a better choice for farming. Keep in mind that Shape Stabilizers come in different varieties, so make sure to check which one the mission has a chance to drop before committing to it.

Furthermore, successfully infiltrating and completing a Zone Recon Mission will increase the chances of the Stabilizer dropping, so keep that in mind when farming for some (and maybe call Sharen for help)

Currently, in The First Descendant, there are only 8 types of Shape Stabilizers. They are numbered from 1 to 8, and everyone is tied to a different Void Intercept Mission. For example, the Shape Stabilizer linked to Grave Walker Collosi is Stabilizer number 1, while the Hanged Man Collosi is linked to number 8. Moreover, players can only carry 2 Stabilizers, but this number can be increased to 6 by increasing Descendant Mastery levels

What Are Shape Stabilizers Used for in The First Descendant?

Players can use Shape Stabilizers after defeating a Void Interceptor Colossus to increase the dropping odds of Descendants crafting materials. When used, a stabilizer will increase the drop rate of lower-chance items and will also decrease the drop rate of higher-chance items. Once a Void Colossus is destroyed, players can interact with the Reconstructing Device, and here they can use a specific Shape Stabilizer to increase drop chances.

Moreover, Shape Stabilizers can be used this way whenever players are about to open Amorphous Materials. As with the Reconstruction Device, this will increase the chance of lower-chance items, giving more chances to get rarer materials. This is great for farming rare Descendant materials like Energy Activators or Ultimate Descendant pieces.
