The famous Academy Summer Uniforms are here, as The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.16 just dropped.
We are getting closer to Season 3, one Hotfix at a time. Nexon is slowly paving the way for the next Season, but there is still a long way to July 2025. They started releasing Hotfixes almost weekly, with each adding something to the game and/or fixing some minor issues, balancing, or otherwise. A while back, the devs teased a new set of Skins, the Summer Academy Uniforms. It sparked a bit of controversy, as some folks have issues with “schoolgirl outfits” being added to the game, but we know that’s how Nexon makes most of its revenue in TFD. Anyway, love them or hate them, the Albion Summer Academy Uniforms are here, along with some neat fixes and improvements.
The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.16 Patch Notes
This update adds the aforementioned Summer Academy Uniform skins to the shop, as well as other cosmetics from the same “set”. Furthermore, it improved some Set Effects for a couple of External Components, fixed some minor bugs, and also fixed some annoying UI issues in the shop and inventory.

(1) Descendants
- Added “Max Number of Creations” to the Skill Info window UI of “Merciless Cuisine” for Ultimate Blair’s Modification Module “Next-level Recipe.”
(2) Equipment
- Improved Set Effects for 2 External Components.
- “Plague” 4-Set Effect: Changed so that the effects are always given when acquiring Custom Resources, even if the player is at maximum Custom Resource capacity.
- “Enlightened Mage” 4-Set Effect: Increased the duration of the “Truth” effect. (5s → 15s)

Bug Fixes in The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.16
(1) Content
- Fixed an issue where the game client would close when playing in Sigma Sector with Ray Tracing enabled on the PS5 Pro.
- Fixed an issue where the accumulated login time for the ‘Ingris Guardian Blair’ event would occasionally reset after reconnecting to the game.
(2) Descendants
- Fixed an issue where Ultimate Blair’s “Deadly Feast” skill was not properly hitting Dazed Colossi.

(4) UI & UX
- Fixed an issue where information was displayed with center-alignment on the Inventory > Info screen.
- Fixed an issue where the Options > Gameplay > Skill Cooldown Details option settings were reset after exiting the game.
- Fixed an issue where some items in the Shop preview page would display the previous item when switching to different items.
A Bit Pricy
It was expected, but the new Uniform skins are a bit on the pricier side. To get a single Uniform skin for one girl, you have to pay 750 Caliber, which is roughly 15$.
“They are very expensive and even with the largest package not even everything is inside,” said one player. On that note, the largest bundle, the Albion Summer Academy Uniform Bundle, costs 5.490 Caliber, and that is with a “discount”. That translates roughly to 100$.
But we went through this already. If there are folks who will pay, then power to them! The game has to be funded somehow.
