The S2E2 update is pretty great, but not without some major issues. Nexon has just announced a 1.2.11 Hotfix, but The First Descendant players are not so thrilled about it.

The latest update added a bunch of new mechanics, some new weapons, a whole new area, a new storyline, and the cherries on top – Serena and Tormentor Colossus. The last two are unfortunately the main culprits of this update, as Serena is way overpowered and Tormentor is underpowered. The players voiced their concerns in any way imaginable, hoping that Nexon would do something quickly. Looks like they had other priorities.

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.11 Announced

On March 18, Nexon posted a patch preview of the 1.2.11 hotfix, scheduled for March 20.

Patch Preview

  • Increased the number of Core Amplifier rewards for completing Void Erosion Purification stages 21 to 30.
  • Adjusted the health of monsters in Void Erosion Purification stages 25 to 29.
  • Adjusted the effects of ‘Restored Relic’.
  • Other content Improvements
  • Bug fixes

Players Wanted Something Else

These fixes are all well and good, but the players were hoping that Nexon would address the burning issues first. As previously mentioned, there is a serious lack of challenging end-game content, and Tormentor being so underwhelming did not help the current situation.

“What kind of useless hotfix is this? 90% of the player base are playing stage 30 anyways. You guys should fix mp collector and the skin dye removal everytime you spawn somewhere.” said ahmad26386606, and “If you guys are nerfing anything else (content) there’s gonna be a huge problem, you better buff tormentor or wave 30” added thereal_santa5.

The hotfix will drop in just a couple of days, and Nexon has yet to release the full patch notes. Hopefully, there is more here than meets the eye. We’ll see on March 20.
