Season 2 is not without its errors, most of them very irritating (like the increase in crashes and lagging across all systems), but there was one that was nothing but hilarious. Luckily (or unfortunately), Nexon was quick to remove it with The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.1b.

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.1b Patch Notes

On December 13, The First Descendant devs released a small hotfix. It fixes the “Smooth Criminal glitch”, which allowed some players in the game to stand diagonally, just like Michael Jackson’s famous diagonal tilt dance move in his Smooth Criminal music video. Wasn’t harmful to the game, just very funny to see. It also deals with some Target Rewards list issues.

Patch Details

– Fixed the issue where the Descendant’s posture would remain in a diagonal stance when switching Descendants in certain locations.

– Fixed the issue where the tooltip of a previously registered item would still appear when hovering over an empty slot in the Target Reward list after removing the Target Reward.

Players Heartbroken

This glitch was an absolute meme-fuel, and the fans are sad to see it go. We get it, it could maybe lead to larger problems in the future, but it was good for some laughs. “Actually really enjoyed that glitch it was so much fun, “ said KingDomofAlbian and “Nooo you crushed our dreams of becoming Michael Jackson,” added ggalindo23.

On the other hand, others are a bit angry, saying Nexon is quick to deal with harmless glitches while neglecting the big ones. “Tonight you chose Anti-Fun instead of fixing Viessa Trans Cold Snap Watch.” said GodofEarth79, and “Did you really need to push a patch that fast over those minor fixes? PS4 takes a long time to copy the whole game even for small updates, just finish waiting and have to wait for another 45 mins.” added Jackdanielsfq.

Unfortunately, there is some truth in all this. While it is commendable that Nexon is quick to respond, major issues (gamebreaking ones, if you will) still persist and should be a priority.
