The First Descendant Bunny looking at fireworks

We’ve seen some serious issues these last few days and the players are pretty miffed. Thankfully, The First Descendant devs answered and promised to fix the issue with Ines Raya’s default skin, as well as tweak and improve the Void Erosion Purge missions.

Recently, TFD has hit a rough patch. It is facing the lowest player count of all time, its Void Erosion Purge missions have some glaring issues, and a sudden change of Ines’ default skin has caused an unexpected uproar in the community. This led to a general dissatisfaction with the players, and it is not something Nexon can afford right now. Thankfully, they addressed these issues in the most recent dev livestream.

The First Descendant Devs List All the Upcoming Changes and Improvements Coming to Void Erosion Missions

Void Erosion Purge missions turned out to be more frustrating than challenging. To resolve it, Nexon promised some considerable changes. “To address this, we will be adjusting the difficulty of Stage 30 in the upcoming Hotfix 1.2.7 on February 13, making it more manageable for solo players.” Key changes include:

  • Increase ATK effect bonuses for weapons in Void Erosion Purge to enhance the impact of core growth.
  • Adjust Elite Monsters’ HP to improve progression speed.
  • Modify enemy spawns and compositions to reduce frustration from unavoidable attacks, including easing the guided effect of certain attacks.
  • Expand public matchmaking to all stages above Stage 25 to resolve matchmaking distribution issues.

They also mentioned that they plan to add a new system in the upcoming Update, that will help your Descendant’s Skills and defenses grow. “This will strengthen your defenses and will make it easier to get through the current stages.”

“In addition to these difficulty adjustments, we will do our best to implement rebalance work for underperforming Descendants in the near future. For now, Void Erosion Purge improvements will take priority in Hotfix 1.2.7, while the Descendant rebalance will require further analysis and discussion. We will provide a separate update as soon as those plans are finalized.”

The Issue With Ines Raya’s Default Skin Was Just a Glitch

As it turns out, the change of Ines’ default skin was an accident. The devs said, “It was an unexpected error during the updates, and it will be resolved during the February 13 updates. The devs are striving to update content and fix issues quickly, resulting in frequent bugs.”

Whatever our thoughts on Nexon may be, we can’t deny that they are accountable and don’t sugarcoat their mistakes, trying their best to fix them as soon as possible. Hopefully, the February 13 Update will be just what we need.
