Sigma Sector is the new area, added in the S2E2 update. But it looks like a new bug is running rampant, preventing The First Descendant players from completing the Isolated Desert High-Risk run in Sigma Sector.
When the latest update hit, it added a ton of stuff to the game, with the major points being Serena, a new area, and pushing the story forward, this time focusing on Gley and her daughter Dia. All of the action is in the aforementioned new area – Sigma Sector. After completing a couple of runs and finishing the new story, you can visit Sigma Sector to farm for new materials. Sigma Sector is divided into two regions: Broken Boundary and Isolated Desert. It also has two difficulty levels, called Storm levels: Normal and High-Risk. The toughest one out there, and the one providing the best rewards, is the High-Risk Isolated Desert and that is, naturally, the one the players are visiting the most. But, it looks like there is a glitch out there, preventing many players from completing it.
The First Descendant – Bug in Isolated Desert (Sigma Sector) Prevents Some Players From Completing Their Runs
When you reach the end of the Isolated Desert in the Sigma Sector, with High-Risk difficulty, you will face two bosses: “Dia” and Drakull, with each having their own special attacks. We started seeing more and more reports from the players that they found a bug during that fight. It turns out that if you manage to defeat Dia first, Drakull will literally drop into the ground, making you unable to target him and thus preventing you from finishing the run.
It was reported by players on various social platforms, and you can see more chiming in with comments like: “Happened to me once. Beat Dia first and Drakkul never spawned. Me and the randos were so confused lol. We all just left the mission instead of just sitting there.”, “It did happen to me once. Other boss was under the map”, and “Can confirm, it happened 3 times to me already.”
So far Nexon has been silent about this but as more and more people report this problem, we are almost certain they will fix it in the next update. In the meantime, the only way to deal with this, aside from abandoning the run, is to take Ines or Bunny, since their abilities “pass through” terrain, so they are the only ones able to damage Drakkul while he’s hiding underground.
