The massive Season 2 live broadcast has ended. Thousands of TFD fans joined in to see what the devs have in store for Season 2 and beyond. And boy, did we see a lot of cool stuff! They talked about Keelan’s Skills, Void Vessels, Ultimate Sharen, incoming balance adjustments, Fellow customization, Void Abyss battles, Hard Special Operations, the “pity’ system, new roadmap, new events, and even more upcoming features. And that was only the first half of the whole broadcast. The second half was reserved for a live Q&A session with the dev team. As expected, the fans had tons of questions. The whole broadcast lasted about three and a half hours. It was quite an experience for both the fans and the devs team. And on that last note, The First Descendant fans unanimously agree on who’s the real MVP of that Season 2 Live Broadcast.

The latest Season 2 broadcast had more hosts than usual. We are used to seeing Min-Seok Joo and Beom-Jun Lee at these kinds of events, but this time, they needed help. The broadcast was hosted by the Creative Director Min-Seok Joo and the Producer Beom-Jun Lee, as always. They were helped by the Lead Game Designer Seung-Woo Jung. Lastly, as the event was live, they had Yun-Kyung Joo as a Korean-English translator.
During the whole event, Yun-Kyung Joo translated everything the devs said, so that English-speaking fans could understand what was happening. It was a wonderful move by Nexon, and fans everywhere praise the devs, and especially Yun-Kyung Joo for the hard work they put into the live broadcast. She did an amazing job translating the whole event for the “westerners”, and in perfect English, if we may add.
Social media is full of “appreciation posts”, like im_vasco on Reddit, saying she’s the unsung hero of the event. Or GaznaThePug, posting “On behalf of the TFD community, thank you Yun-Kyung Joo for translating/interpreting nearly 4 hours of the live stream. You’re an absolute legend!“
Literally everyone agrees, and you can see tons of posts praising her, saying stuff like: “She’s amazing, the charm, the joy, the passion for her work, and she’s genuine.“ by TheBrownManPlays, “Whatever they are paying her, it isn’t enough.” by Adventurous-Ad6203, or “Yun-Kyung Joo for official position as community manager make it happen lol!” by putupsama.
Before this, the Korean-to-English translation was done using AI. Sure, we all understood the gist of it, but you could tell that it’s AI-generated, plus stuff gets lost in the translation very easily. So it is great that TFD devs decided to bring in a professional. We only hope that Yun-Kyung Joo sees all the praise that she gets from the community. And, as Razia70 said: “Wait, when did this community become wholesome? I like it!”
