“From 1 to 27 in One Go” Fans Thrilled With Recent XP Changes in The First Descendant

The first official Season for TFD dropped a few days ago. However, it was a pretty turbulent period, with fans being unhappy with some new content and mechanics from the get-go. But, one of the changes that may have flown under the radar (with all the hubbub going on) is the general XP increase for Infiltration Missions and other Special Operations. With leveling and re-leveling being one of the less popular mechanics in the game, the fans are more than thrilled with this change.

Update 1.1.0 Buffed Your XP Gains and Leveling Is Way Faster Now

With all the talks about Hailey and Invasion missions, it was easy to miss other significant changes in the Season 1 update. Some of them are:

  • Increased the EXP reward for completing Hard Infiltration Operations. Also increased EXP for defeating monsters by 1.5 times.
  • Increased EXP for defeating monsters in Normal Infiltration Operations by 1.5 times.
  • More than doubled the amount of shards that can be picked up in Special Operations.
  • Acquire additional Descendant EXP when completing waves in Special Operations.

The devs commented: “We’ve significantly increased the amount of EXP gained from defeating monsters and completing missions in Hard Infiltration Operations, and while Special Operations are still the better option for farming EXP, Infiltration Operations can now provide a decent amount of EXP as players farm items.” Furthermore, they add: “The fastest, “Mine Blockade,” will now give you about 1.5 times more EXP than before, while “Resource Defense” and “Neutralize Experiment” will give you 2 times more EXP.”

“Probably the Best Change They Made”

The changes to XP gains apparently made a significant impact on the players’ enjoyment of the game. Leveling and re-leveling have been frowned upon for a while now, so this was a step in the right direction. In one Reddit thread, user SlayerJaeger praised the recent changes, stating that: “it’s a great way to level up characters in less than an hour.” They add: “I only play solo, but I select 250% kill score multiplier and select public operations…I pick the shelter, since it’s fast and I’m currently farming Hailey stabilizer component and afterglow sword…Magister lab is great as well for quick farms.”

Others agree, with BrilliantLarge7554 saying: “Magister lab is one of the best xp farm now and you get a bunch of amorphs to farm catalyst or activator bps along with it. So good. Probably the best change they made.” As previously stated, the Infiltration missions are not the only one that are buffed. The famous “Block Kuiper Mining” Operation, the fan-favorite leveling mission, has also received some significant buffs. User Ice-Nine01 added: “BKM can go level 1-27 in one run now, only about 10 minutes if you have a Bunny in your group. Second run will take you to level 39”

However, it is only the character XP that is affected, the weapon XP (even less popular mechanics that re-leveling) is still the same. Naturally, there are those who give a negative spin on everything, and some claim that this change will encourage AFK farming even more. Still, Nexon proved to be very responsive and have proved time and time again that they can and will make significant changes when necessary.
