More Guns or Better Guns? The First Descendant Fans Discuss Should You Aim to Get All the Ultimate Weapons or Focus on a Few

The First Descendant ten different ultimate weapons arrayed

There are more than 20 different Ultimate Weapons in TFD and each of them has a unique ability. Each new season adds two more weapons, to shake things up a bit, and we’re looking forward to Hammer & Anvil and Voltia. But, with all those weapons, one question arose: is it better to have all the guns or to double down on a few and fully upgrade them? With Nexon’s Anniversary event, it has never been easier to do so thanks to the weapon tickets we get each week. So, let’s see what the First Descendant Fans think, should you aim to get all the Ultimate Weapons, or is it better to focus on a few?

All the Ultimate Weapons or a Few Powerful Ones, Which Is Better in The First Descendant

In TFD, each Ultimate Weapon has a unique ability that can be upgraded. It starts at “Level 1” and you can upgrade it by “merging” two of the same Ultimate Weapon. The maximum is Level 4, meaning the weapon has reached its full potential.

Now that we have an opportunity to get a lot of weapon parts for free, some fans have been asking whether it is better to use the Event to get all the missing weapons or use this opportunity to upgrade your existing weapons fully. “My question is whether there is a point in getting as many unique ones as I can but only having them at one star ability until I go through the inevitable long farm for multiple copies, or if its smarter to get multiple copies of the same one to max its rank during this event?“ asked the OP, RyessHelles.

Get Enduring Legacy and Other 10% Blueprints

What almost everyone agrees is that you should try to maximize your Enduring Legacy Machine Gun. It is the best weapon out there for any character and having it maxed out will help you in farming everything else. “The goal is to get 4/4 on all meta weapons because they are much better especially Enduring when fully maxed.” said DooceBigalo, and “As many copies of EL as possible” added alligatorsuitcases.

However, with Season 2 eliminating the penalties that Unique Abilities grant, some fans are adamant that EL is still great at Level 1. ‘I think for most generic enduring legacy you wont miss the upgrades and the new update takes away the negatives.“ said anoma1yy, and “If you don’t have enduring legacy that is the biggest must. And luckily it’s very good at 1 copy and getting more doesn’t make a huge difference.” added CaseyRn86.

Furthermore, practically everyone agrees that you should use those tickets to get as many weapon parts that have 6% or 10% drop chance blueprints. The rest you can get more easily, so it can be a bit of a waste to use a “freebie” for them. “Grab the 10% parts of guns you might want (SG nano, EL BP, etc.) and farm for the rest of the parts” said alligatorsuitcases, and “I would recommend using the event rewards to get the harder to farm pieces, aka 10% drops, that have nothing you really can use. For example, I used 3 of mine on Enduring Legacy main blueprint since it is a 10% drop, and I had most of the other drops in all of the amphorus that contained it. While I farmed the 3 nano tube I needed since they had a 32% drop.“ said Mindless_Ad_761.

So, in summary, you should get Enduring Legacy first, if you don’t have it already. Then get the weapon parts that have the 6% and 10% drop chance for all the weapons you are planning to use, with the focus being on Enduring Legacy Blueprint (it has a 10% drop chance, the rest are more easily obtainable).
