The First Descendant Devs Revealed That a Pretty Neat QoL Improvement is Coming to Albion in May

In the last stages of the April AMA session, the developers of The First Descendant revealed that a really good QoL improvement is coming to Albion in the May update.

The April AMA is over. After six days of almost-constant communication, the devs will be taking a deserved break from all the questions. But we did find out some pretty cool stuff. For example, we found out that Non-Attribute Descendants will get some love, that Dia may become a playable Descendant somewhere in the future, that the devs would love to make some TFD comics, but it is still early for that, and that Skill-based characters would get a buff. And, while answering the last couple of questions, the devs shared something interesting.

The May Update Will Add a Handy QoL Improvement to Albion in The First Descendant

In the last stages of the April AMA session, one fan asked about the teleport locations in Albion and whether we will finally be able to choose which one is our default spawning point. On that, Minseok Joo answered:

“We’re currently working on adding a new Albion teleport location near ETA-0 in addition to the existing one. Players will be able to choose either location as their default teleport destination. This feature is scheduled for the May patch.”

Knowing that there is already a teleport point near the ETA-0, we are curious where the “new Albion teleport location near ETA-0” will be. Maybe closer to Anais or Silion…But it may be that the automatic translation just messed things up a bit, and that Mr. Joo was only referring to turning the existing teleport location near the ETA-0 into a “default teleport location”.

But both options are still pretty good. Even just turning the second teleport location into a default one will be of huge help. Adding a third one to the mix would only be a bonus.

The aforementioned update should drop on May 22. We do know that on May 11, Nexon will be attending PAX East and doing a devstream from there. Major updates are usually a couple of days after the devstreams.
