Well, nobody believed that was going to happen, but the recent PAX East The First Descendant Devlive managed to get to 20k viewers, and the devs revealed the Final Prize.
The recently finished PAX East 2025 devlive revealed a lot of stuff about the game and got the players excited for Season 3. Some leaks revealed what to expect before the broadcast, and they have all proved true! They talked about what’s coming in Season 3, the first anniversary of the game, the release of the official soundtrack, and, as always, a Q&A at the end (the community will never forget the question about Luna’s unpainted toenails). Additionally, the devs were handing out in-game rewards based on the number of viewers.
The Pax East Devlive Managed to Get to 20k Viewers, Unlocking the Final Prize for all The First Descendant Players
It was revealed that the team will track the number of viewers during the PAX East devlive, and will be handing out rewards: the higher the viewer count, the better the rewards. The devs revealed what type of rewards we will be getting on each milestone, but the contents of the Final Prize, achievable only if we get to 20.000 viewers, were kept hidden. However, based on the player count, ie, the number of players that are still interested and playing TFD, the community was skeptical that the viewer count would get near the 20k mark, let alone surpass it. But, to everyone’s surprise, we’ve done it!
Somewhere around the halfway mark of the whole broadcast, the number of viewers got to 20k, surprising everyone! This revealed what the “Final Prize” is:
- 3 types of PAX Key Color Paint (3 each)
- [Clear Coat Red, Clear White, Enamel Deep Black]
- 2 Crystallization Catalyst
- 1 Energy Activator
Honestly, we were expecting something a bit more “flashy” for the Final Prize, but hey, can’t complain about the free stuff. “I was kinda hoping for a skin or something but hey I’ll take the catalysts,” agreed one user on X.
We won’t deny that we were skeptical that the stream would get to 20k, and we are glad that we were wrong. The final number of viewers managed to reach something around 66k! The stuff revealed for Season 3 looks pretty cool, and we’re all looking forward to July. But we still have a couple of updates to go through before that.
