Afterglow Sword is arguably the most popular Sniper Rifle in The First Descendant, and a part of the default “meta”. This Sniper has a somewhat lower Fire Rate but rewards players who can consistently keep hitting Weak Spots, with stackable bonuses to Reload speed and Damage. It, along with the Thunder Cage and Nazeistra’s Devotion makes up the “meta-trio“. How to Get Afterglow Sword

As with all Ultimate Weapons, you need to farm for Afterglow Sword parts before you can craft it. Unfortunately, some parts are pretty hard to come by and require playing on Hard mode. That means only veterans will get their hands on this firearm, beginners will have to find something else until they progress through the game far enough.

Getting all the Afterglow Sword parts will require some grinding and effort but the payoff is worth it. On that note, here is the list of all the general materials you’ll need, with blueprints and their locations.

When you have gathered all of these parts and materials, head back to Albion and visit Magister Anais. There you can request the research of a new Afterglow Sword. It will take two hours to complete, and you’ll have to pay 50.000 Gold. Lastly, you need to have at least Mastery Rank 15 in order to craft this weapon.

Best Build for Afterglow Sword in The First Descendant

Afterglow Sword is one of the best Snipers in the game, with a pretty high starting Critical Hit Rate. Add the fact that shooting enemy Commanders and Colossi further increases the Critical chance, and, naturally, you’d want to exploit that as much as possible. So the best build for the Afterglow Sword focuses on increasing the firearm ATK and Critical Hit Damage as much as possible.
