Want to learn how to change your character in Texas Chain Saw Massacre? No problem. Here’s everything you need to know about the process with a quick rundown of character stats.
Gun Interactive’s Texas Chain Saw Massacre pits players against each other in a 3v4 asymmetrical horror experience, divided into victim and family roles based on those from the 70s slasher film. Each of the family’s victims is equipped with unique abilities and attributes, which come in handy in your attempt to escape the property. Despite being outnumbered by their hostages, the aptly named Slaughter family has strengths of their own, receiving tracking buffs when they feed Grandpa, their bloodthirsty patriarch. This levels out the game’s competitive dynamic, placing emphasis on your character selection. Here’s how to make the switch.
How to Change Your Character in Texas Chain Saw Massacre
From the Play menu in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, you’ll be given the choice of playing as either a victim or a member of the Slaughter family. Upon choosing your role, you’ll be randomly assigned a character, which you can then switch in the Characters tab if you’d prefer to play as someone else.
In the lobby, you’ll see the following tabs listed before the next match begins.
- Teams
- Characters
- Loadouts
- Skill Tree
- Cosmetics
Open the Characters menu to survey your options, which include five playable victims in addition to five family members. Note that three killers and four survivors will compete in the match, limiting your options to characters that haven’t yet been selected. If another player has been assigned the character you want to play, you can either ask for a switch or wait until the next round.
Regardless of your selection, the Slaughter family’s pride and joy, Leatherface, must play a role in the match. Moreover, the unselected victim will appear in the opening scene as the killer’s first unfortunate victim.
