Are you gearing up for some Tekken with your friends, but you all have different platforms? Will Tekken 8 be crossplay friendly? Let’s find out.
Tekken 8 is about to hit the shelves. It has been more than 10 years since we got a Tekken game, and it looks like it will be a blast. All your favorite characters will be back, along with a couple of new ones. It uses the latest Unreal technology that makes the game look amazing. Speaking of, Tekken 8 will only be playable on the latest consoles and on stronger PCs. We already know what platforms those are, but what about crossplay? Is there any word about that? There is, so read on to see if Tekken 8 will be crossplay.
Does Tekken 8 Have Crossplay?
You bet it does. Tekken has been PlayStation exclusive up until Tekken 6 when it was playable on Xbox 360. Tekken 7 is playable on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. But, unfortunately, there was no cross-platform option on any of these titles. Katsuhiro Harada, the game’s director, said that crossplay was mentioned, but at the time the platforms were at odds with each other and no agreement was made. All of that is behind us now, because Tekken 8 will fully support crossplay between its platforms.
So, if you and your friends are excited about Tekken 8, having different platforms is not an obstacle anymore.

Tekken 8 Features Rundown
As mentioned, Tekken 8 will be playable on current-gen consoles and PCs. It uses the latest Unreal Engine 5 to bring us a cinematic feel, as every character has been reworked from the ground up. There are 32 playable characters, but that number may increase in time.
Stages will be destructible and the new “Heat” system rewards aggressive gameplay. This is most probably to stop defensive play and make the fights more active and interesting, both visually and gameplay-wise.
