How Do You Taunt Someone in SF6?
To taunt your opponent in Street Fighter 6, perform this series of modern controls:
- A, B, X, Y, RB, RT, and any D-Pad directional (Xbox)
- +, ▢, 〇, △, R1, R2, and any D-Pad directional (PlayStation)
Depending on the directional buttons you choose and the fighter you’re playing as, the performed taunt will differ. Because of this, it’ll require experimenting with your own character as well as different fighters to familiarize yourself with every character-specific taunt available in the game. Some trial-and-error is to be expected, as a simple slip-up can result in performing an alternative attack, such as a heavy punch or kick.
When Should You Taunt in SF6?
In order to effectively taunt your opponent in Street Fighter 6, you’ll need to time your move properly. Otherwise, you’ll risk taking a direct blow from the opposing fighter. For this reason, the best opportunity to taunt your opponent in combat is during the time in which they’re stunned.
This can be accomplished by depleting the opposing fighter’s Drive Rush Gauge. Once stunned, you can safely taunt your foe. Just keep an eye on their stun recovery rate to avoid taking any damage. While egging on your opponent doesn’t serve a purpose apart from boosting your own ego, it does add a hefty dose of rivalry to a match, especially if you’re playing online or with friends.
