“Just Kick Them” Space Marine 2 Players Split on Whether Level 1s Should Be Allowed in Lethal

A common occurrence in multiplayer games is for low-level characters to tag along with some high-level ones, hoping they get carried through tougher content. Known as piggybacking or carrying, this can be either wholesome or selfish. In the former case, maybe you want to carry your low-level friends to help them out. In the latter case, players are known to queue up for content that is way too tough for them, hoping to get paired up with a high-level teammate who will do all of the work. Unfortunately, this is also present in Space Marine 2, and the players are split on whether Level 1s should be allowed to piggyback in Lethal.

“Leave or Kick” Level 1s Should Be Kicked Out of Lethal According to a Huge Chunk of the Space Marine 2 Playerbase

A lot of players are all up for kicking out those lazy piggybackers. They are ruining the match for the whole squad by not pulling their weight. “I think people are delusional to go into lethal at anything below 25 and expect to get carried. It’s stupid, it just hurts the experience for people who are at proper level.“ said Lorsife, and KebabRacer69 added: “Yeah… I don’t care how good you think you are. You have no perks yet. Get out.”

Some Offer Solutions

Some more level-headed of the bunch offer solutions to fix this. The most common idea you see is to add a level requirement to Lethal, ie, you can’t queue up Lethal Operations if you are not Level 25, or something along those lines.

Others propose that Lethal Operations shouldn’t give you any XP. You’re supposed to be at max level, so what good is XP to you anyway? That way lower-level players would have less to gain in Lethals and that may discourage them from queuing up in the first place. But, the majority leans towards kicking the Level 1s or leaving the game. However, some players think otherwise.

“Who Cares? Have Fun.”

On the opposite end of the spectrum are those Space Marine 2 players who don’t have an issue with Level 1s being allowed in Lethal. The main issue, according to them, is the class selection system. Maybe their Level 25 classes have all been selected, and they are basically forced into using their Level 1s. “Problem is, sometimes our leveled up classes are taken. We can’t all play 8 hours a day…” said countsachot.

But, that doesn’t mean it’s game over right from the start. Those players probably have maxed-out weapons and can pull their own weight most of the time. “If this dude has Relic weapons on from other classes, honestly is probably fine. Lethal really isn’t that bad since the patch,” said Brackmage19X. Finally, it can serve as a really good test of your skill, and the best answer was given by RaspberryOne1948: “Imagine the joy and respect when you carry two 1lvl players through lethal. That’s when you’ve gotten good.“

While selfishly looking to get carried is an awful thing to do, we should not jump to conclusions. Maybe the player was really forced into choosing a Level 1, or it happened by accident. Communication is key, and most important of all, we should all be civil to each other.
