Space Marine 2 is a gaming hit and has taken the scene by storm. Combining great PvE and PvP action with the massively popular Warhammer 40.000 setting, it was even nominated for Best Game of the Year at Steam Awards 2024 (and just lost to none other than Black Myth: Wukong). It is widely praised for its stunning visuals and intense single-player and multiplayer gameplay. But the devs, Saber Interactive, have no plans of stopping and have recently revealed their plans for Space Marine 2 in 2025.

What’s in Store for Space Marine 2 in 2025?

Space Marine 2 is already chock full of content, but you can always have more. The game is predominantly PvE, and PvP lovers asked for more content geared toward testing your skills against other players. Fortunately, both them and PvE lovers are in for a treat.

For PvP players, the devs revealed that a new map, set in a closed environment, is on the way. Furthermore, they will add Custom PvP lobbies in Patch 7.0, where you can tweak the rules and size of your PvP matches to your liking. From the number of players to Class restrictions and time limits.

As for PvE, a long-awaited Horde mode will arrive later in 2025. More Class upgrades will be available via the Prestige Rank in Season 3. Lastly, we’ll be getting some new Enemies and Operations, along with a new difficulty level with new rewards.

Moving on, a new Champion is on the way. We’ll be getting a Sniper from the Salamanders Chapter. The devs add that a more obvious choice for a Sniper would be someone from the Raven Guard Chapter, but they have some other plans for the Sons of Corax (most likely a Jump Pack Assault Marine, as it should be).

Lastly, more customization options will be added, as well as Datavault, a new area on your Battle Barge where you can unlock additional information on the enemies of Mankind. That is all that was shared in the latest Community Update. It looks like 2025 is going to be a good one for Space Marine 2 fans.
