Silent Hill 2 Remake is one of the best games of 2024 and it is a real wonder that it wasn’t nominated for GOTY 2024 on The Game Awards. In any case, it was widely praised by both players and critics and is a perfect candidate for a PS5 Pro Enhancement. However, Sony released a list of more than 50 games that will have PS5 Pro support on day one of the console’s release, and Silent Hill 2 Remake was nowhere to be found. But the fans still expected it to run better than ever on Sony’s premium console. Unfortunately, they all reported various graphics issues when playing SH2 Remake on it. Bloober Team and Konami just released a 1.06 Patch for Silent Hill 2 Remake, with the intent to fix various PS5 Pro issues. Unfortunately, it looks like it failed in that task.

PS5 Pro Players Disappointed That Glitches Are Still Here
Unfortunately, it looks like Bloober’s effort to fix PS5 Pro issues with this patch was not as successful as they hoped. Swarms of fans report that the glitches are still there. Gamers voice their frustration on both Reddit and on X. “Still 30 FPS on PS5 pro” said iTenchu, “Disappointingly: it does NOT fixes all of the PS5 Pro issues… – it still a subpar experience from what I had on the PS5” said jayveeboyce, and “Remove the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” logo… what a disappointment. Come on guys!!!” added NWtravelCFC, and these are just some of the comments on X.
The fans on Reddit are a bit more level-headed (to everyone’s surprise), saying that the game is indeed more polished, but still suffering from glitches. But the Performance Mode seems to be more stable. In any case, Bloober Team has most definitely heard all the complaints and are doing their best to put out these fires.
