Roblox – How to Get Rid of Default Clothing

Roblox is one of the most customizable games in terms of user avatars and offers players thousands of clothing apparel to choose from. Many players are passionate about creating unique outfits, however, the addition of default clothing in 2017 has been a fairly frustrating experience for many.

Keep in mind that the Roblox team does not look very kindly upon players who try to bypass their security features or violate community guidelines. Trying to bypass this feature without appropriate reason can get your account flagged and may result in a warning or even a ban. So proceed with caution!

This guide will look at default clothing, and the different methods players can employ to bypass it altogether.

How To Get Rid of Default Clothing in Roblox

Players have created several forums asking how they can bypass this filter, as it often interferes with creating certain costumes and avatar designs. Currently, we know four methods that can get rid of the default clothing trigger.

Wearing Pants

The simplest solution is to keep a pair of pants on, as the trigger only occurs when you remove your pants. However, this limits you to keeping a certain pair of pants on at all times.

Deleted Clothing

When you try to wear clothing you own that the moderators have deleted, your avatar will render without any clothes on. If you own a deleted piece of clothing, it can help you bypass the default clothing flag. 

However, the Roblox team has patched this for many pieces of deleted clothing, so this method may not be reliable.

Transparent Pants

Transparent pants are one great solution the community has come up with to bypass the limitations of default clothing. You can find them on the Avatar Store for as cheap as 5 Robux. Once you equip them, the game will detect that you have pants on, while your Avatar will appear as if it has no pants. 

Different Skin Tones

Another working method is to try and mess with your character’s skin tone. Changing the skin tone of a body part can allow you to bypass the default clothing trigger. A fairly popular option is keeping your torso a skin color and ensuring that the color of your right and left legs differ from your torso.

What is Default Clothing in Roblox?

Default clothing is an outfit that is triggered when the game detects that your character has no pants. The trigger gives your character a colored T-shirt with a Roblox logo on the top left and a pair of colored shorts.  

The default clothing set is viewable in the Shop but not purchasable. You will not find it in the Avatar Editor Menu either.
