If you’re on top of rumors regarding a new Mythical Pokémon in the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, then you might be wondering how to get Pecharunt. Here’s what we know.
Following the release of the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, rumors are now swirling regarding a new Mythical Pokémon that’s set to be introduced. Pecharunt is said to be a brand-new species, first discovered by data miners. While little is currently known about this Pokémon, it could be related to a certain item that will likely be distributed to players down the line. Here’s everything we know about Pecharunt and the mysterious new item rumored to arrive in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including how you might be able to receive the Pokémon in the future.
Can You Get Pecharunt in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC?
Last week, Pokémon fans were met with news that a new Mythical Pokémon might arrive in Scarlet in Violet, though it’s not currently available in the base games or The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. In an X (formerly Twitter) post, user Centro Leaks revealed that Pecharunt and the associated Mythical Pecha Berry were discovered in the game files, hinting at a future distribution event for the alleged Pokémon and related item.
While this information remains unconfirmed by The Pokémon Company, observant players have since noticed a doll resembling this species on display at a shop in Kitakami, the location of the Teal Mask DLC. This seems to corroborate Centro Leaks’ claims that the event will take place in the new region.
That said, official images of the Pokémon have since been removed by Centro Leaks, as Nintendo has taken action against their spread. However, another X user mattyoukhana_ has also shared a video of Pecharunt using the move Malignant Chain, suggesting the Pokémon is related to the Loyal Three: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. The video remains available to view.
For now, we will need to await more information from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company when it comes to a potential distribution event of the rumored Mythical Pokémon and its associated item.
