Wondering how to get and evolve Duraludon in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Stick around. We’ll go over this Pokémon’s locations and evolution method.
The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has brought a host of both new and returning Pokémon to the table. As you work to fill out your Pokédex and train up new monsters, you can now obtain Archaludon, a new Steel/Dragon-type Pokémon. As its name suggests, it evolves from the Gen VIII monster, Duraludon. Fortunately, you can easily find the base form roaming about the Terarium at Blueberry Academy. However, you’ll need to spend some hard-earned BP to get your hands on its evolution item. With that, here’s where to find Duraludon and how to evolve it into Archaludon.
Where to Find Duraludon in The Indigo Disk DLC
Duraludon is exclusively found in the Polar Biome of the Terarium in the Indigo Disk DLC. However, you likely won’t spot this Pokémon when you first enter this frigid region, as it seems to prefer high altitudes. Much like Beldum, you’ll have better luck finding Duraludon when you scale the cliffside with Koraidon or Miraidon’s help.
I caught my own Pokémon atop one of the highest peaks in the area, so I recommend scoping out the tallest slopes to easily find this hard-hitting Steel/Dragon-type.
How to Evolve Duraludon into Archaludon in The Indigo Disk DLC
Unlike most Pokémon, Duraludon doesn’t evolve when it reaches a certain level. Instead, you’ll need use Metal Alloy to kickstart the process. This evolution item essentially works just like a stone, so there’s nothing else you’ll need to do to trigger the transformation once you give it to your Pokémon. Simply select the item from your bag and give it to Duraludon to watch it evolve into Archaludon.
How to Get Metal Alloy
You can find Metal Alloy for sale at Blueberry Academy’s School Store in the Indigo Disk DLC. You can get to this location by entering through the main building and selecting the store from the menu. Once you’re there, talk to the cashier and look for the evolution item among the shop’s inventory. It’s listed for a pretty solid price of 300 BP, which you can earn by completing BBQs (Blueberry Quests).
