Trying to figure out how to evolve Milcery into Alcremie in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? We’ve got you covered. Let’s go over evolution methods and specific items.

You can now catch Milcery in the wild during your playthrough of the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Fairy-type monster was first introduced in Gen 8, proving popular among franchise fans. Similar to species like Oricorio or Eevee, Milcery’s evolution, Alcremie, comes in a variety of appearances. This is influenced by the item you choose to use during the process, so you’ll want to make sure you pick a form that best suits your style. Here’s how to evolve your Milcery into Alcremie, as well as where you can find its evolution items in the Indigo Disk DLC.

Milcery boasts one of the most unique evolution methods in the franchise, but it’s easy to execute in the Indigo Disk DLC. First, you’ll need to make sure you have any kind of Sweet item on hand. This can include any of the following varieties:

  • Strawberry Sweet
  • Berry Sweet
  • Clover Sweet
  • Love Sweet
  • Star Sweet
  • Flower Sweet
  • Ribbon Sweet

Once you have one of these items, give it to Milcery to hold. This alone won’t trigger the evolution, but it leads into the final step — and it’s rather silly. Make your character spin around to finish the process. You can do this by twirling your Left Joystick in a circle until you do a pirouette. This will make your Milcery evolve into whichever form coincides with its held item.

If you’re aiming to obtain a specific form of Alcremie, you should also mind other factors, such as the direction you’re spinning, the duration, and the time of day. While this has no effect on stats, each affects the overall color of the Pokémon’s appearance.

For example, I quickly spun my Left Joystick counter-clockwise at night, so my Alcremie took on the Salted Cream form — a stark white Pokémon topped with vibrant blue berries, thanks to its Berry Sweet. Experiment with different evolution methods to add each form to your Pokédex.

While some Sweet items have fixed locations in the Indigo Disk DLC, each available variety can also be picked up as you traverse the four biomes of the Terarium. Most players will find their first Clover Sweet inside a Poké Ball in the Coastal Biome, so I suggest starting there if you favor this lucky Alcremie form. However, you can also pick up several other kinds as you continue to explore and pocket sparkling items on the ground.

I wound up with more Berry Sweets than anything else prior to evolving my Milcery. Conveniently, this is the form I was hoping to obtain. That said, you never know how many of these items you’ll find, so you might as well pick up anything you can.
