- Only one code for a Hisuian Zoroark can be used in either the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. Upon purchase of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, an email with your code will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account. From the in-game menu, go to the Poké Portal, then select Mystery Gift, select Get with Code/Password, and then enter your code.
- The Mystery Gift option can be found within the Poké Portal menu option in the X menu after you unlock the feature in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. (This occurs after about 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.) An internet connection and a Nintendo Account is required to redeem the item in game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Each item can only be redeemed once.

The DLC Dilemma
The Pokémon community has been quick to point out that the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC places features once available in past entries behind a paywall. This is perhaps the biggest complaint about downloadable content at large. Franchise staples, like the Battle Frontier and the Safari Zone, played a critical role in setting Pokémon apart from other RPG series. Now, you’ll need to purchase the expansion to visit similar areas, namely the Terarium and BB League of Part 2: The Indigo Disk. This is understandably frustrating, to say the least.

Part 1: The Teal Mask will take us to an entirely new region called Kitakami, where a new story will begin. While Pokémon Gold and Silver famously provided the opportunity to revisit the Kanto region following completion of the main story in Johto, we’ve never had the chance to explore a new region altogether within the confines of the same game.
Extensive Pokédex
The DLC is also set to deliver a long list of of both classic and new Pokémon to add to your Pokédex. All things considered, Scarlet and Violet offer an extensive variety of monsters, made all the more vast with the arrival of the upcoming expansion.
