It is finally happening. The release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has been revealed and the pre-orders are officially up!

One of the most anticipated titles of 2025, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, is the talk of the town. Mr. Kojima has been teasing the game in every way imaginable and offering only tidbits of information every time. Sure, we all know that the main cast is here once more, with Norman Reedus as Sam, Lea Seydoux as Fragile, Troy Baker as Higgs, and more, with some new faces, like Elle Fanning as Tomorrow, Shioli Kitsuna as Rainy, and Luca Martineli as Neil, to name a few.

The exact release date is the most requested piece of information about this game, and we finally got an answer.

Death Stranding 2 Release Date and Pre-Order Trailer

On March 9, Kojima Productions and Sony revealed a Pre-Order trailer. It lasts for about 10 minutes and showcases, well, everything, and it is absolutely stunning. You should see it for yourself.

It looks more like a movie than a video game, so hats off to the development team. But the most important piece of info is their release date.

It is official: the release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is June 26, 2025. The game will only be playable on PS5, though.

The pre-orders begin TODAY, March 17, 2025, 10am (local time).
