Death Stranding 2 is one of the most anticipated games of today (except maybe GTA6). Hideo Kojima’s next project has the gaming community all excited, and they are eager for even the smallest bits of information. And now, the time of the release is getting closer. On that note, some people are already playing Death Stranding 2, and they add that official previews are coming on May 8.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set to be released on June 26, 2025. That is approximately two months from now, but the hype about the game has been circling the community for way longer than that. Kojima is one of the most popular (and well-liked) game designers and has been offering sneak peeks for a while now. And now, as we are nearing the official release, it looks like some lucky folks have already had a chance to test out the game.
Some Lucky Gamers Are Already Playing Death Stranding 2, and Official Previews Are Coming May 8
It seems that video game journalists do have some perks, as a couple of them had the opportunity to visit Kojima Productions HQ in Tokyo and test out the game.
“VGC is playing Death Stranding 2 at Kojima Productions. Look out for our preview coverage on May 8.” said folks from Video Games Chronicle, and “I’m in Tokyo this week playing Death Stranding 2 at Kojima Productions! I’m checking out ALOT of the game and you can read my impressions on May 8.” said Marcus Stewart from Game Informer.
As we can see, the “review embargo” will be lifted on May 8, and we will be able to see what the critics and journalists think about the game. Lately, the review embargoes usually lifts just before the launch, and the gaming community is a bit sick of that practice. While publishers claim they are doing it because of the hype, the gamers mostly think it is because there is something wrong with the product. So this only speaks of Kojima’s confidence in his project, and naturally, the fans appreciate it.
