Could it be? The recent Silksong activity on SteamDB has raised hopes among fans that the release may be imminent. Let’s see what that is all about.

Silksong is one of the most anticipated games of today, right next to GTA 6 and Death Stranding 2. The sequel to the incredibly popular Hollow Knight, Silksong has been teased and postponed for years now. It has been going on so long that fans started losing hope that they would ever see Silksong get released. Well, it looks like something is going on, and their hopes may get rekindled.

Recent Silksong Activity on SteamDB Has the Community All Excited for a Possible Release

More and more reports point out that there are some changes to Silksong on Steam DB. The last time something changed in Silksong’s files was in March, and those were some minor changes, like assets, dates, and images. In January 2025, Team Cherry said that the game is real and on the way, and since then, we have had no significant updates.

But now, on June 3, a couple of changes have been noticed on SteamDB. Namely, the achievements have been added in various languages, the info that the trailer seems to be appropriate for all ages, and the files on Steam have been updated.

This has led the fans to believe that something big is on the way. The Summer Game Fest is right around the corner (June 6), as well as the Xbox Showcase (June 8), and some speculate that we may get to see Silksong shadow-dropped, just like we had for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. If not a shadowdrop, then at least we might see an official reveal, with the possible release date, at the event. “All jokes aside is this actually happening is silksong coming guys?” asked Pixelbird on Reddit, while others speculate whether it will be revealed at the SGF or the Xbox Showcase.

Both of those events are scheduled for this week, so buckle up, Silksong fans, something is bound to happen very soon.
