Monster Hunter games are popular action-adventures where players take the roles of, you guessed it, Monster Hunters, who go on adventures that involve hunting and killing/capturing various monsters. You’ll get rewarded with crating materials, which you can use to make new weapons, armor, and other equipment, enabling you to tackle more powerful monsters. A pretty straightforward premise, and the players loved it. The franchise began all the way back in 2004, with Monster Hunter for PlayStation 2. But, the franchise had a global resurgence in 2018 with Monster Hunter World, which became the series’ best-selling game. And now, the next installment is on the way, titled Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase Only a Week Away
Monster Hunter Wilds was announced in December 2023, and is set to release on February 28, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5 (and Pro, obviously), and Xbox Series X and S. On October 16, Monster Hunter’s official X page announced that a showcase stream would go live in a week and posted a 15-second-long teaser video.
Join us on October 23rd at 07:00 PDT / 15:00 BST for a Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase stream, presented by Monster Hunter Wilds producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto!
For the record, Paris Games Week starts on October 23 and ends on October 27. In an earlier post, the Monster Hunter team said that the MH Wilds would be playable during that event. You can watch the stream on Monster Hunter’s official Twitch channel.
As for the fan reactions, the majority ask for a Demo. You get comments like: ”GIVE US A DEMO PLEASE”, “Is this where we’re going to get the demo reveal?”, and “Pls, Demo.” It is most likely that a demo will be available on PGW and onward. If not, it will result in a lot of disappointed players, and we assume that Capcom does not want that. In any case, we will all find out in a week.
