The release of Death Stranding 2 is getting closer and closer, but Kojima Productions are not stopping with the teasers, as they teased that something special is coming on May 28.
Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2 is the talk of the town and the next major game to be released. Scheduled for June 26, it continues to story where the first title left off. Once again featuring a stellar cast of characters, the fans are counting the days until the sequel to Kojima’s masterpiece gets released. They even partnered up with Sony to release a special edition of DualSense controllers for PS5, inspired by the game. But that is not all, as Kojima continues to tease his fans, this time with a cryptic message and a video.
Something Special Is Coming for Death Stranding 2 Fans on May 28
On May 26, Kojima Productions posted a video on their X profile, with a message: “Waiting for the porter’s arrival…May 28, 8:00 PM (JST)”. The video shows an open gate, looking at a wasteland beyond. As expected, Kojima gave absolutely no hints as to what this means, and this led the players to speculate what is going on.
Some think that it is possibly a new trailer, but Kojima did say that the final trailer is scheduled for two weeks before the Death Stranding 2 release. What some speculate it will be is the ever-popular Steelbook edition of the game. The contents of the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions were already revealed, and there was no Steelbook in sight, prompting some optimistic fans to speculate that this surprise will be it.
Others noted that only the Japanese timezone was mentioned, meaning the surprise is something for the Japanese fans only. “This Teaser…., I feel that it is an exclusive PS5 Pro Collector in Japan (They only put the Japanese time zone.). All of these speculations make sense, so we just have to wait for a couple of days for this mystery to solve itself.
