A new State of Play event is right around the corner as Sony announces it for June 4.

We’re in for a ton of great events. We have the Summer Game Fest scheduled for June 6 and the Xbox Showcase scheduled for June 8. We’re expecting to see some highly anticipated reveals, like Resident Evil 9, or the possible release of Silksong. And now, Sony is jumping on the bandwagon.

Sony Announces New State of Play Event for June 4

The last time we had the State of Play event was on February 12, where we saw some more reveals for Split Fiction, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Blue Prince, Days Gone Remaster, and more. We had a smaller SoP event on April 30, where they showcased Borderlands 4. And now, another big one has been announced.

On June 3, Sony announced that the next state of play is right around the corner – on June 4. “State of Play returns June 4! Watch live for news and updates on must-play games coming to PS5. The show highlights a selection of great games from creators across the globe.” The exact schedule is:

  • 2pm PT
  • 5pm ET
  • 11pm CEST
  • June 5 at 6am JST

You can follow the event on YouTube and Twitch, and it will be broadcast in English.

As for what to expect, we know that Deltarune will get an official release on June 4, so chances are it will get a reveal as well. As already mentioned, the fans are hyped about Resident Evil 9, so we may get to see something about that (it is originally Sony’s game, after all), and maybe finally a Marvel Wolverine reveal.

In any case, the event is right here, so pretty soon we will have all the answers. This week is packed with events, so either way, we will get some awesome reveals.
