It is time! The Death Stranding 2 DualSense controller pre-orders are officially up.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Made by Hideo Kojima, it continues where the first part ended, and once again features a stellar cast of characters. So, it is no wonder that the fans are beyond excited and are literally counting the days until the release, on June 26, 2025.
But while we are waiting, Sony has a nice surprise in store for us. In the early days of May, Sony announced that they would release a special Death Stranding 2 version of a DualSense controller. These controllers are valued collectors’ items and are pretty popular wth the fans. And now, the pre-orders are officially up.
Death Stranding 2 DualSense Pre-Orders Start Today, on May 22
Back on May 7, Sony revealed that Death Stranding 2 DualSense controllers are in the works, and that they will be up for pre-order pretty soon. They revealed that they have worked closely with Kojima Productions on the controller design, and that it has been customized to feature the insignia and motto of Drawbridge in vibrant orange. Here’s the official information:
“Starting May 22, 2025 at 10am ET in the U.S., and 10am local time in the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, players will be able to pre-order the DualSense wireless controller – Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition exclusively through direct.playstation.com in limited quantities.
When ordering directly from PlayStation, enjoy free launch day delivery for eligible pre-orders.”
As for the pricing, the Death Stranding 2 controller will cost $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480, and, as expected, will be available in limited quantities.
