Bloober Team had a meteoric rise in the last few weeks. The team responsible for the Silent Hill 2 Remake has proved more than capable of making (and remaking) horror games. Their Remake was widely praised by everyone (bar a few internet trolls who wanted to rain on their parade and hack the review scores) and had awesome sales right from the get-go. This is why, when asked if are they open to making some more Silent Hill games, the Bloober Team gave a positive answer.
Bloober Team Open to the Possibility of More Silent Hill Games and Remakes
During an interview with IGN, Bloober Team’s Jacek Zieba and Wojciech Piejko said that they are open and willing to make some more Silent Hill games. “I think we are always open. If we like the opportunity, we’ll take it,” said Jacek Zieba. “There are opportunities that you have to seize. Like Silent Hill 2, you can remake the legend. So yeah, I do believe that everything’s possible.” added Wojciech Piejko. You can check out IGN’s interview here.
Ultimately, it all boils down to whether Konami is up for more Silent Hill remakes (or new games) or not. But seeing how much of a success Silent Hill 2 Remake is, another collaboration between Konami and Bloober Team would be a guaranteed success. And the fans are all up for this, with ElementalCollector saying: “Konami literally just has to let them. It would be such an easy decision. Here’s to hoping they don’t [mess] that up!” and Goldy_932 adding “For the love of god Konami, for once in your freaking history don’t be a you and let them cook !”
Bloober Team announced their own original horror game called Cronos: The New Dawn and it already looks amazing. We are looking forward to any new project they have.
