Rise of Ronin is a famous PS5 exclusive game from Team Ninja, released on March 22, 2024. It is a mandatory game for every Japan enthusiast, as the story is set at the end of the Edo period, where you create a custom character that becomes a Ronin (a masterless samurai) and seeks to overthrow the Shogunate. It boasts a simple combat system, featuring katanas and other iconic Japanese weapons, that is great for more laid-back gamers, those who don’t want to bother with complicated game mechanics and just want to enjoy some cool samurai action and explore their surroundings. Now, with the release of PS5 Pro getting closer, more and more studios are trying their best to give their games PS5 Pro Support. And now, Rise of Ronin also got the PlayStation Pro 5 Enhanced tag.

On October 27, Team Ninja released Update 1.08. It dealt with some minor fixes, but most importantly, added the PS5 Pro Support.
- PS5 Pro Support – Enhanced visual fidelity that takes advantage of the PS5 Pro. Both “Prioritise FPS” and “Prioritize Graphics” settings feature sharper and clearer visuals as well as higher and more stable framerates during combat.
Rise of Ronin was released only recently, it is barely over half a year old, so the visuals are still fairly up-to-date. But the PS5 Pro has more modern components and state-of-the-art technology, so it will make the game look better and run smoother (most probably at a conscience 60FPS). We can expect that every game that is published by Sony will receive the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag sooner or later. Players have been asking for the NewGame+ feature, but sadly there is no word about that. However, if the update for PS5 Pro reinvigorates the general interest for the game, the fans may actually get the highly-requested DLC or some other new content.
