Back in December 1994 Sony, a video game company from Japan, released their first console named Sony PlayStation. It was released in the US and Europe the following year and proceeded to take the gaming scene by storm. It was the first console to use CDs, since its Nintendo and Sega counterparts used cartridges. Fast forward to 2024 and now we have the fifth iteration of that console (PD5) and we’ll soon get an upgraded version called PS5 Pro as well.
To celebrate 30 years of this revolutionary gaming platform, Sony announced on September 19 that a special 30th-Anniversary version of the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro console will be released on November 21, 2024. But that is not all. PlayStation Portal Remote Player, DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, and DualSense Wireless Controller will get a 30th Anniversary edition as well. All of these will be available in a limited supply, with preorders starting on September 26. There is no info on the pricing, but some leakers managed to dig out some valuable info.
