The full release of Payday 3 is finally here, and while the new title came with its fair share of day one difficulties, the game has garnered impressive amounts of traffic. Not to mention, Deep Silver and Starbreeze Studios have promised a hefty amount of new content coming to the game in its first year, dubbed The Bad Apple. From potential new characters to skills and several confirmed DLC packs, the hotly anticipated FPS has a bright future ahead. Let’s take a closer look at what Year 1 has in store.
- The Tightest Crew – The legendary Payday Crew, dreaded by the law and underworld alike, is back. Ripped from their peaceful retirement to rejoin the criminal world by a new threat, one born from the chaos the Crew left in their wake.
- Give in to your greed – Give outlet to your greed and let loose in PAYDAY 3. In addition to gold, cash and jewelry and any other valuables they might come across, you’ll be able to build a sizable collection of weapons, cosmetics and accolades.
- DIGITAL BONUS CONTENT INCLUDES: Season Pass (12 month), The Collector’s Mask (in-game), Membership to The Collector’s Club, an exclusive closed off community only accessible to the Collector’s Edition owners.
- PHYSICAL BONUS CONTENT INCLUDES: The Collector’s Mask, Stand for The Collector’s Mask, Custom Deck of Cards, Stickers
- Pre-order the Standard Edition in order to get The Trifecta Lootbag, including the Obsidian Glitz outfit and Venomous Verdigris mask.
Payday 3 Roadmap 2023-2024
Back in early September, Deep Silver and Starbreeze Studios announced four DLC packs set to drop in Payday 3’s first year. The first expansion is expected to drop this winter, leaving just a few short months for players to prepare for the new content. And the payout doesn’t end there.
The Year 1 roadmap was revealed in an X post (formerly Twitter) on the official Payday 3 account. Entitled The Bad Apple, the DLC was also outlined by developers on Steam. The Payday 3 expansion packs and projected drop dates are as follows.

Developers for Payday 3 have also confirmed potential new characters to be added to the game with the DLC packs. This stacks with events, skill lines, enemies, weapons, and much more. Not to mention, an Unreal Engine 5 update will be added to the mix. While exact details regarding the new content are still under wraps, it looks like Payday 3 fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.
