How to Invite Friends in Payday 3
Teaming up with friends is the best way to pull off a successful heist in Payday 3. Follow these steps to invite friends to your party for the next mission.
- Launch Payday 3.
- From the lobby, go to your platform’s Social Menu. To do this, press P on PC, Menu/Start on PlayStation, or the Xbox button on Xbox.
- From your friends list, find the player you want to invite.
- Send a party invite by pressing the O key on PC or RS (right-stick) on PlayStation and Xbox.
- Once the invite is accepted, your friend(s) will join the lobby.
How to Send In-Game Friend Requests in Payday 3
Of course, you’ll need to ensure any player you want to add to your Payday 3 party is on your friends list. If not, you’ll need to send them a request before you can team up for a heist. Here’s how to do it using the in-game friend feature.
- In the friends panel, enter the player’s Nebula username in the search bar. This is the same thing as their Payday account name.
- Look for their profile.
- Send a request.
- Once added, follow the necessary steps above to invite them to your party.
How to Join a Friend’s Party in Payday 3
Joining a friend’s party is fairly straightforward in Payday 3. On PC, you can simply select the player’s name from your social menu to join their game or lobby. PlayStation players can press Triangle to do this, whole Xbox players can press Y.
You’ll be loaded directly into the lobby, where you can prepare your desired set-up before joining the heist. When you’re set, confirm Ready to enter the session. Just bear in mind that you’ll begin the match unmasked, regardless of your friend’s progress in the heist.
Does Payday 3 Support Cross-Platform Invites?
You don’t need to play Payday 3 on the same platform as your friends to invite them to your party or join theirs. This means you can invite other players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, given you’ve enabled crossplay on your console or system.
